Overview of some local events organised by AEGEE-VALLETTA

AEGEE Week (March/April): AEGEE-Valletta uses the University Quadrangle in order to promote AEGEE local and European activities, as well as activism in general, through the exhibition and distribution of various materials, as well as informal discussions with prospective members.

University Freshers’ Week (October): Information Stand about AEGEE and the opportunities offered to Maltese students on a European level, especially the opportunity to travel abroad, as well as the chance for Erasmus/International students to join an organisation that links them to Maltese student life.

International Cuisine Nights (March): Organised together with University Students’ Council (KSU) and the Erasmus/International Students, every nationality has to prepare their own dishes, and this is followed by a party.

Summer University Info-Meetings (March): Coinciding with the opening of applications for AEGEE’s European Summer University project, these sessions introduce the project to members, students and youth currently residing locally. These meetings also act as feedback and motivational sessions with the participation of past Summer University participants who give out their experiences, and also by giving a brief overview of AEGEE.

Erasmus/International Students’ Orientation Days (October & February): AEGEE-Valletta delivers presentations on the association and organises campus tour to familiarise International students with the University and its community.

AEGEE-Valletta cultural visits (Ongoing): Erasmus students are given a taste of our rich history and culture. These visits usually include a tour of our capital city Valletta, and a visit to Malta’s old capital city; Mdina by Night. Both tours are guided by professional guides followed by some traditional food prepared by the organisers.

AEGEE-Valletta International Nights (Ongoing): AEGEE-Valletta organises various parties for the Erasmus and International student community, which are also open to local students and youth. Parties are usually themed such as Halloween Party, Sangria Party & Carnival Party.

AEGEE-Valletta Cocktail Nights (Summer months): Refreshing summery nights for members and friends at Golden Bay. The night would end up with a BBQ.

Anniversary nights: Every November AEGEE-Valletta Alumni Coordination Team organises a yearly gathering for alumni, active members and partners to celebrate yet another successful year of work for the benefit of many students and youth by the association. 

AEGEE-Valletta 5-a side games: AEGEE-Valletta organises weekly 5-a side football games for members and friends.
