Dear members,
AEGEE-Cagliari is glad to present You “EcoCampus”, a European multidisciplinary training program on issues related to the exploitation of the archaeo-industrial heritage. The project is promoted by the Rotary Clubs of Cagliari, Carbonia and Iglesias with the collaboration of the University of Cagliari, the Region of Sardinia and AEGEE-Cagliari.
EcoCampus is an occasion for young graduates and experts in different fields coming from the main European institutions to train and exchange their experiences. The activities involving the protagonists of EcoCampus will be both class-based and field based in order to develop specific topics related to the exploitation of the archaeo-industrial heritage and make it available to the territory.
The event will be held in Sardinia, an island that combines its archeo-industrial and mining heritage with its unspoilt nature and its impressive landscapes, from May 12th to 27th 2012.
EcoCampus will be divided into 3 main areas: Naturalistic Engineering, Landscape Architecture and Cultural Heritage – Industrial Archaeology. The program is organized in thematic seminars in the morning and thematic workshops in the afternoon.
The aim of the project is to train new generations, to promote the socio-economic development of the territories and to enhance the exploitation and the protection of environmental resources.

The requirements to participate at EcoCampus are:
– Master Degree in engineering and scientific, technical and humanity fields related to the environment and the promotion of cultural heritage (engineering, architecture, botany, earth sciences, cultural heritage preservation, agricultural sciences and forestry, etc..)
– Age between 23 and 30
– Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English.
